Goodgame Empire
Last updated Jun 15, 2018
An important browser-based MMO strategy game to have come out from the Goodgame stable, Goodgame Empire is a flash-based game wherein you build a medieval castle, raise a powerful army and fight against others on an ever-changing world map, all in an effort to unite and rule the four kingdoms.
Backdrop
The game is set in the medieval times when there were kingdoms, castles and the people that used to make them - the kings, queens, knights, subjects and more.
Gameplay
The gameplay turns out to be surprisingly complex considering that the game’s played exclusively inside a browser. You need a good blend of military strategy and economy to make the most of the competitive arena. Players start out with a single city, with the final aim of creating an entire empire from the scratch.
You’re not allowed to have more than one account per server, significantly limiting the chances of any unfair practices. NPC interactions are all informative and simple, laying solid framework for the future quests. Although the first two levels unfold very slowly, the game picks up a great deal of speed after that.
The gameplay essentially starts with creation of a city after you’ve gathered enough resources. Food, stone, wood and grinding are some of the resources that stay with you throughout the game. Your effectiveness of collection and storage of resources increases significantly as you build advanced structures.
Graphics
The graphics (2D) and user interface are both pretty clean, making the game easy to navigate. You won’t find this game pretending to be one of those cutting-edge MMOs; rather, it is heavily focused on delivering just the kind of experience that players expect from such type of game.
Conclusion
Comparing it to the other titles of this genre, it can be safely stated that Goodgame Empire does look to be complete in many ways. It’s definitely something you should consider if you are looking for a competitive yet casual strategy MMO.
